My family travels to our side of the world

We’ve been looking forward to this all winter. Counting down the weeks and crossing the days off the calendar. Noah didn’t believe the day would ever come. The excitement at our place was sky high! Cleaning, organizing, moving the children into our room, setting up guest bedrooms with clean sheets and fresh flowers, planning menus and itinerary, we had a lot of fun getting ready! April 13th my family arrived in Chiang Mai…

We wanted them to experience what we do every day and do some sightseeing too. To get a taste of Thailand, if you will. Since this was over our winter break, they didn’t get to see what the school schedule was like, but we had room for them to stay in our little green house which was a huge blessing. And they got to enjoy Thai food and we did lots of driving so they were able to see some of the city. We made lots of good memories, hoping those memories can hold us over until we can all be together again.

Noah was so impressed with his rc Thomas train that my parents gave him for his birthday.

Aunt Harmony thought Ellen was big enough for braids.

We had time to prop our feet up too. Noah is making a tiger face, which he has been doing pretty much ever since our visit to Tiger Kingdom. Some days it gets a little wearying, after going to the elephant camp they were elephants for a day, but now it’s back to the tiger thing.

The last Sunday night that they were here, we had a birthday cake (it actually tasted good this time, thanks to cake mixes my mom brought along) to celebrate the children’s March birthdays.

So glad they made the long journey over here to spend time with us! Now it’s back to school schedule, homework, ministry trips, etc. We leave next week for Bangladesh, looking forward to spending time with Charles and Cindy and family. Please pray for us as we go.
